Disappearing Act

Poof.

Off the face of the Earth she goes,

Like the soul of a deadman

Or the dreams of a poor man.

Poof.

She couldn’t even say,

That she missed me before I was gone

As the letters rolled in one at a time.

Poof.

And if I realized that I hurt her

Like she now hurts me,

I’d probably disappear too.
