Train Tracks On My Forearms

Remember when you and I took a train together
And a homeless man saw us kissing with our eyes and feet
And the clippy conductor who was clipping clipped stubs asked us
If we were one of those couples or if we were just on drugs?

Because after that ride when I went on again
Some deft people would do some pretty daft things
And slide down-away from my view
Like we did when we thought we were not alone,

Remember how before your stop I asked to hold you one last time one more time?
The first embrace was for the show of it
The last to always remember how you feel.
